happy new year! (am i still good? “i got happy new year’d in march one time…”) i hope everyone had an enjoyable and safe holiday.
how are you??
here below is a little of what’s been going on with me the last few weeks. but before my update, update me on your life! what’s inspired you this month? what are you thankful for? leave a comment, reply to this email, or shoot me a message somewhere. i’d love to hear from you, to make this more dialogue than monologue.
the darkness rolled over her
many of you have been asking about the film. we’re still working on it! the editing process is a long one, especially when i’m doing most of it myself. luckily i have some great help with Noah and Shane, and we’re slowly chipping away at it. i got to hear some samples of the score this week, and they are INCREDIBLE! you’re gonna love them…
i’m looking forward to picking up speed on the editing again after a slow period.
freelance
one reason for the slowdown is i’ve been doing a lot of freelance stuff the last couple of months, but that has been fun, too! more to come on each of these, but
i’ve been doing an install at a pretty big venue… lots of TVs and speakers and smart things. always great to see the client smile at the work you’ve put in.
i’ve been helping a medical training company develop virtual reality 360º training video! this is a new medium for me and very different from the things i usually make, so i’m learning a lot and loving it.
i’m currently headed to Mexico where i’m helping a ministry create a video and marketing campaign to celebrate 50 years of serving their city’s children. i love helping people find strong, clear language to communicate, invite, and persuade. it’s been a great process with great people, and i’m looking forward to spending the week with them.
and just a reminder, if you need a cinematic video, some marketing strategy, or technical advice (particularly related to video — including smart home stuff!), be sure to send me a message. i want to help in any way i can, even if that means finding the right person to help you.
more to come…
it was nice to wake up in Los Angeles this morning. i’ll be headed across the border soon, but i’ll be checking back in with some photos, video, and more.
Godspeed!
